RAY PANTEL SAFETY AWARD WINNERS
The purpose of the Ray Pantel Safety Award is to recognize the SAIA member who demonstrates the quality of dedication of leadership, cooperation and service that were exemplified by one of the SAIA founding fathers—Ray Pantel.
The Ray Pantel Meritorious Service Award is given in memory of the late Ray Pantel, who performed his duties for the electic cooperative Loss Control Program of Texas for 24 years.
Ray earned the respect of electric cooperatives throughout Texas, as well as the United States, as a safety instructor, training specialist, and later, as a general coordinator of the Loss Control Program. He was intrumental in the development of a safety certification program and continually fought for the development and continuation of the loss control program.
