New Movie Dedicated to Fort Boonesborough

Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives recently dedicated a new movie about the life and times of pioneer Daniel Boone to Fort Boonesborough near Richmond, Kentucky.

Three years in the making, the movie was the brainchild of Jerry McDonald from the Generation & Transmission Cooperative East Kentucky Power. Once the idea was approved it was Jerry who coordinated dozens of shoots and innumerable details that made the tribute to Boone a reality. The movie depicts three years in the life of Boone from the time he arrived in Kentucky until the Shawnee siege of the fort.

The Boone movie is shown during the orientation before the tour of Fort Boonesborough. Presently, tours have discontinued for the season but will resume again April 1, 2000.
