Blue Grass Energy Employee Wins National Award

Billy R. Hall, purchasing manager for Blue Grass Energy, has received the 2000 Solon Bennett Award for Excellence in Materials Management.

The award is given annually by the National Association of Purchasing Management to an individual in the electric cooperative industry and is selected from nearly 1,000 electric cooperative utilities in the United States.

Hall was honored at a recent national conference in Orlando, Florida.

Hall has more than 22 years of experience in the electric utility industry and has been an employee of Nicholasville-based Blue Grass Energy since 1993.

Blue Grass Energy serves more than 33,000 customers in 14 central Kentucky counties.
