From September 20 through the 21 over 100 of Kentucky's electric cooperative board directors and co-op managers will convene in our nation’s capital for the annual Congressional Breakfast and visits with their congressional delegation.
For more than 50 years this event has provided a chance for local co-op leaders to meet with federal policy makers.
Events begin on the morning of September 20 when congressional delegates and co-op leaders join together for breakfast. The theme of this year’s breakfast is “Coal - Fuel of the Past or Fuel of the Future?” with keynote speaker Steve Miller presenting. Steve Miller is President and CEO of the Center for Energy and Economic Development
(CEED).
On September 21 co-op leaders will head to Capitol Hill for face-to-face meetings with their respective congressional delegates to discuss Kentucky rural electric cooperative issues.
