Anderson, who began working at Somerset based South Kentucky RECC in August 1978, served as an Energy Conservation Advisor until 1985, when he was made the Manager of Member Services and Public Relations. In April 2000, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Anderson replaces Gary Cavitt, who led the co-op over the past two years.
”My philosophy has always been to recognize and utilize the strengths of employees around you,” Anderson remarked upon his appointment. “Having been with South Kentucky RECC for 23 years, I know and understand the employees, and I trust in their abilities.”
“I firmly believe that all the answers cannot flow through one person,” Anderson continued. “Empowering the employees recognizes their ability and prepares us to better meet the constantly changing needs of our members in a timely manner.”
Anderson, a lifetime resident of Pulaski County, lives in Eubank with his wife Patti. They have two sons, Jon and Josh.
