Scholarships
Available for Kentucky College Students

The Kentucky Chapter of Women in Rural Electrification (WIRE) is
taking applications from Kentucky college students for up to three
$750 scholarships.
The scholarships are open to any
applicant who meets the following criteria:
he or she must
be a junior or senior in a Kentucky college or university;
he or she must
have at least 60 hours of credits by the beginning of the
fall semester; and
his or her
immediate family must be served by one of the state's 24
rural electric distribution cooperatives
The scholarship application
deadline is June 13, 2003. Scholarships will be awarded based on
academic achievements, extracurricular activities, career goals,
recommendations from professors and community leaders, and financial
need.
