WIRE Cookbooks Benefit Its Scholarship Fund

The The Kentucky Chapter of Women in Rural Electrification (WIRE) is selling Hometown Favorites cookbooks to benefit its Scholarship Fund.

These one-of-a-kind cookbooks contain more than 500 favorite recipes collected from group members, family, and friends and compiled into an attractive keepsake cookbook. The cookbooks may be purchased for $12.00 plus $5.00 shipping & handling.

WIRE holds regular fundraising events. All proceeds from the sale of Hometown Favorites will be used to fund WIRE's college scholarship program. Each summer at least three college juniors or seniors receive a $1,000 scholarship to pursue their educations.

Kentucky WIRE is an organization of women associated with electric cooperatives in the state of Kentucky. They are wives of managers, board members, employees and other women associated with electric co-ops in Kentucky with the goal of fostering friendships and encouraging understanding and appreciation of electric co-ops.
